How to Find the Border of a Shape

Margin is the length of the outer march or limit of a 2-dimensional shape and is overt in units of length, such as inches or feet. Perimeter is often recovered by measuring for each one margin of a shape and adding the boundary lengths together to get the gross length. The outer edge of a circle or oval is referred to as the circumference.

When measuring use the equivalent unit for each edge, and usage our length building block conversion calculators to convert all measurements to the same length if needed.
